In designing Electra 1000 Be, the products technical aspect was to be emphasised by its style. The new pure Beryllium tweeter is highlighted by a moulded aluminium alloy panel, with a function that is more than just aesthetic. Its curved form, extends the body of the speaker’s enclosure, and suppresses the diffraction effect of sudden cabinet edges.

The sides of the cabinet are marked by a prominent double radius that curves back to give the new enclosure its character. Similarly, the curved sides are not parallel, reducing the aspect of the speaker while also avoiding the formation of the standing waves.

Finally, the port of the floor standing Electra 1027 Be is in the style of a sports car’s grill, giving character to the design, but equally presenting an excellent solution for eliminating chuffing noises within the air flow. As with the Profi le range, all technical elements and styling issues have been given equal consideration, leading to an object with a balanced and distinguished look that suggests high performance.
